Advantages of keeping it simple
Show Notes

In this episode, Christina and Kristina talk about:

  • expressions we use regarding keeping things short
  • how keeping things short is sometimes more difficult
  • and how speaking simply can benefit English learners

The extra mile (useful English vocabulary you'll hear in the podcast):

Christina:

Hi, Kristina. How are you doing today?

Kristina:

I'm good. How are you?

Christina:

Good. I think I just jumped into there without any kind of introduction, but that's okay. We're keeping it short and to the point today.

Kristina:

Right.

Christina:

Yeah. So that's the topic of our podcast today, is all about the advantages of keeping it simple, simple is better, the question, do you sound like a snob in English, because you're not using simpler language? So yeah, we'll talk about all of that. I guess we can start off with, Kristina, I feel like in English we have a lot of different expressions around advice about keeping things short. What do you think?

Kristina:

Yeah. We have these little sayings, have these little phrases that we'd like to use, like short and sweet.

Christina:

Exactly. Or short and sweet like the acronym KISS, keep it short and sweet.
