Show Notes

In this episode, Christina and Kristina talk about:

  • ways to improve your listening skills
  • some examples of reduced speech
  • whether or not watching movies is an effective way to study

The extra mile (useful English vocabulary you'll hear in the podcast):

  • to pick out = to select from a group
  • reduced speech = sounds that have been omitted, pronounced less clearly or altered. ex: "could have" can sound like "coulda", "what are you doing?" can sound like "whaddya doin?"
  • to trip [one] up = to make a mistake; to cause confusion
