September 11, 2020 Speak English with Christina, by Christina Rebuffet

How to introduce yourself in English
Show Notes

In this episode, Christina and Kristina talk about:

  • how to introduce yourself progressively
  • what questions to avoid
  • how to sound less direct

The extra mile (useful English vocabulary you'll hear in the podcast):

  • a tick box = a small square on a form, questionnaire, or test in which you put a checkmark to show that you agree with something or have completed something
  • to be direct = to be straightforward, which can sometimes be considered impolite
  • [something] defines [one] = something is a major part or "all of' of one's life, ex: Don't let your financial success define you.
